    A Ghost Story
In Thomastown there was a gentleman's house. Every night at 12 o'clock all the delph in the house used to rattle. The owner of the house often thought they were broken in small pieces.
This gentleman was a Protestant and had Catholic men working for him. When he told the men of the noise he heard every night one of them advised him to tell the Parish Priest to come and hear the noise. The Priest came the following night and remained in the sitting room until midnight. The noise then started.
The priest put on his stola and began to pray.
After he had prayed a few minutes a large ball of fire went through the roof of the house. The noise was never heard again. About a month after the gentleman and his wife and family were converted when they saw the wonderful work of the Priest.
