    Shrove Tuesday - A feast of pan-cakes is provided for evening tea.
    Ash Wednesday - people go to Mass to get Asked for their foreheads.

    Whit week - it is not right for any person to go on water, or at least, they must be very careful on water, for fear they would be drowned, water is dangerous whit-week.
    May Day - some people milk their neighbours'cows on May morning before sunrise, in order to have plenty of butter for the year. Some people would not give away milk on May day, for fear of anything would happen to their cows during the year, and they throw out no
