This is a verse the old people had about the Holy Family.
One one occasion, before our Lord was born, when Mary and Joseph were passing by a cherry tree, the Blessed Virgin said:-
Pull me a cherry Joseph for I am with child,
Let them pull you cherries Joseph the father of your child.
Out spoke the young babe from out Mary's womb
"Bow down, gentle cherry, till my Mother pulls some."
The highest branch on the tree bowed down, down to Mary's knee.
