  1. There are a number of local cures for different diseases. Fifty or sixty years ago people went far and wide to be cured but now those cures are gradually dying out.
    Burn
    If a person who is badly burned mixes sweet oil with lime water and puts it on immediately after getting the burn it will keep it from blistering, and another cure for a burn is to lick a insect called a mancreeper and they will get instant relief.
    Whooping Cough
    The cure for the Whooping cough is to drink ferrets leavings, or to be put out under a black ass with her first foal, or to drink asses
