    There are old sayings about the way the bride is dressed.
    "Married in blue, your love is true
    "Married in green, ashamed to be seen
    "Married in brown, you'll live in a town
    "Married in grey, you'll go far away.
    "Married in red, you'll wish yourself dead.
    "Married in white, you have chosen right.
    "Married in black, you wish yourself back
    "Married in yellow, ashamed of the fellow.
    One of the customs is the cutting of the wedding cake, which is divided into pieces, and put through the brides ring, for the purpose of dreaming upon.
