    only attended this school three days a week, and they had to pay two pence a day to the person who was teaching them.
    There were no pens to write with in it except quills. There were no seats, the children had to sit on the ground, except one chair for the master. They had no chalk either only a stone of lime, and it was very badly the master could write on the black board with that.
