  1. There was no great drought in Ireland since 1921. In that year all the ponds and streams of my district were dried up and there was no water to be found anywhere.
    The people used to drive their cattle over to the river in Tarmon which is almost two miles away. They had to bring water in barrels from the river for using at home. That river runs through the bog in Tarmon and joins the river Suck.
