  1. When my two uncles were young this happened. It was on Whit Sunday and they were fishing on the brink of a little lough named Drumchinnie between Cootehall and Drumboylan. One of the boys, Pat Joe jumped in for a swim. He swam for a while but went down he came up the third time and went down. When Miles saw this he prepared to plunge into the water. He did so and dived hundreds of feet below and found his brother. He caught him by the cape of the coat and dragged him safely to the shore. he was a long time lying on the grass before he could speak.
    It was wrong to fish on Whit Sunday my father said.
