  1. One Spring a few years ago a pigeon built her nest on a tree convenient to a cabbage plot. A little boy found this nest and he took it down to see what was in it but in coming down he slipped and let it fall to the ground and the two little pigeons that were in it were killed.
    When the old pigeons returned and found their nest in this state with the two wee ones dead they became very angry and in revenge ate all the cabbage not leaving sufficient for one dinner.
    This story is quite true.
