  1. Very few people go barefoot in Summer, because there is a cheap supply of gutties sandals and rubber shoes and in olden times people went barefoot or bore boots or heavy shoe in Summer
    The boots and shoes are made by a shoe-maker and he also repairs boots. Most people that are handy repair can repair their own supply of boots at home when they have all the implements. There is one shoemaker in our district. His name is John Curley. He lives in the village of Ballinode. His father was also a shoemaker and his uncle.
