Weary and foot-sore,
They went up the town,
Went into the "Rambles",
And there they sat down,
They called for strong liquor,
Until they had enough,
Still cursing Jack Balkan,
And the bear of Clashduff.
- There was a well in the Church Wood, which is on the Colliery road. It was supposed to be a holy well. Many people with desceases were cured there. Others who were lame and were cured there left rosary beads and cruches there, which are probably rotted now. The(continues on next page)
