- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)invited to come on the wedding day on side cars which were in fashion at that time. When the wedding-day came the groom arrived on his side-car for the bride. Then all started off for the church the bride's car leading. There was no Marriage-Mass that time and they had not to be fasting like nowadays. They were married any time they liked, and then the groom's car took the lead to a neighbouring town. They stayed there all day enjoying themselves and then they all came back at dark to the bride's house for the wedding dinner. Torches and bonfires were lighted all over the countryside welcoming the married couple back. When dinner was over each person got a piece of bride's cake.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
