  2. Long ago in the year 1867, John Llaw, Timothy and Charles McCarthy who were living in Mastergeeha, were on their way home from the races in Killarney. When they were coming towards "Lacca" they heard the awful noise and commotion. Coming a little further, they saw a man lying by the roadside, they came away, and after a little while a man on horseback rushed past them, saying to them why did you not take up the poor wounded man who was lying by the roadside.
