  1. Long ago a man named Michael o'Sullivan, Knockmanagh, Killarney was coming home from Castlemain fair. The sun was setting when he was as far as Kilcummin Churchyard. There he met two men who asked him would he prefer himself or the cow to die and Michael said what ever would come or go let the cow go. At that moment he hit the cow on the back with a rod and she fell dead on the road. The man went home and returned the following day for his dead cow.
