    On the left bank of the Abann Uí Críadh there is a large cave forming the entrance to the underground passage which is supposed to end at Beal na díge. Very long years ago a young man attempted to explore this underground passage. He had not gone far when he was obliged to turn back for fear of his going astray as there are many turns in it. He died in about three weeks afterwards.
