    started to fail away. One night as he was sitting by the fire - side he said to his father "I wish I had my feet washed, my prayers said, my "flagin" licked and me in bed. At first his father did not understand him but Séan explained what it meant. When he saw the deed his wife had done to the child he got very angry and broke the flag in bits, and he made her go home to her own people. The father and son lived happy ever afterwards.
