  1. Brian Breheny of Carrowreagh, Keash, was a champion weight thrower. He lived between seventy and seventy five years ago.
    At Castlebaldwin there used to be a competition on June 24th and all the strong men used to meet for weight throwing.
    On one occasion there were a lot of people assembled to see the competition. Several men threw the half hundred weight a great distance and Brian Brickney taking the weight threw it some feet beyond their marks.
    There lived in Meenmare, Keash a man named Langton who was a great mower.
