    great deal of hand sewn work and he is aged seventy eight.
    All the country women and girls knit socks for the men also stockings for themselves but they always buy the woollen thread in the shops. There are two old spinning wheels in the district.
    At the death of a relative people always wear something black. Long ago at weddings each female guest used to wear a piece of white tulle around their necks tied in a bow at the side or back.
    At funerals the people always wore pieces of black crepe and crepe bows on their necks. Those habits are not practised in the neighbourhood now.
