The cairn at Heapstown is the burial place of a chieftain he was named Olva Oliell.

    (continued from previous page)
The only way of crossing rivers in the former times were by steping stones or planks.
There is a grave in Foyogues marked by a big white thorn bush and a small heap of stones.
It is the grave of Saind Claurus O'Melia who had a church beside it. The church is still to be seen.
Ther is a Giant's grave in Moytura beside the road called Balor's Grave. This Gian fought in a battle of Moytura and he was killed by Lugadh his grandson.
They buried Balor in a field hard by the battlefield, where his Scandinavian grave may yet be seen, and which is known to day as "Balor's Grave" or the grave of the three posts, because of its triangular form and the fact that three posts, for example, huge rocks, still remain although the covering stones are no longer there.
