The days to get married on
The old people always thought it was lucky to get married during Shrove. They had a poem of the days to get marrie don. "Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth and Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for crosses, Friday for losses and Saturday no day at all."
What the bride had to wear.
The bride would be lucky if she wore when getting married, "something old and something new, something borrowed and something blue".
