  2. When a cat sit's with her back to the fire that is the sign of rain. When the midges are out late its also a sign of rain. When storm is approaching you can see a blue blaze in the fire. The dog eating grass is a sign of rain, and also the rainbow in the sky.
    It is also a sign of rain when the seagulls are out on the land. When the crows dive down out of the sky you know it is the sign of rain. I heard this from my father
