  1. Long ago in Ireland there were no chapels. All the people had to go to a mountain to hear Mass.
    When the priests were saying Mass men would come and shoot them.
    The priests were always afraid they would be shot during Mass.
    There were no lights allowed in the houses black blinds were put on windows.
    Rush candles were used for light.
    I heard this from my father.
