He wanted to have a smoke on his way and though his pipe tobacco and matches were in his pocket he could not find them.
The people had returned from mass when he arrived home and they noticed him very flurried and asked him what happened to him.
He related the story. His father-in-law John Evans who was an old man asked him to describe the woman he saw. She was middle aged, long featured, black hair and would be fairly tall.
According to the description she was a Knightly woman a friend of the Evan's family who died many years ago and the conclusion they arrived at was that she appeared as a warning to Foley that it was not a fitting place to be during mass. Foley has never missed mass one Sunday since.
