When the storm rose they sought your shelter
When compelled to fly from an angry bay.
Once in your basin they were free from danger
Though adverse winds made the billows roar
With plenty space and a level water
With ease and comfort they'd reach the shore
And a white star liner or British cruiser
Or the largest craft yet that we have seen
Would find safe shelter within your harbour
When chased by storm or a submarine.
