  1. There were two boys one time named Kirwan and Fitzgerald. It is said that they lived near Rathlee. When they grew up to boyhood they went into partnership. They brought two baskets and went round the country dealing in small things.They did very well and got a pony to carry their baskets.
    After a short time they were the owners of two ponies, The saved lots of money. They built a large shop and continued to work in partnership. Both got married. A son was born for Fitzgerald and a daughter was born for Kirwan.
    Shortly after the birth of the children a secret agreement was drawn out between the two
