  1. A Wreck.
The wreck of an old ship called the Rathlea is to be seen on the sands of Enniscrone. It was about fifty years ago one stormy night when the Rathlee was driven towards the cliffs of Enniscrone. The captain managed to steer the ship aground the sands. All the people were saved. The sailors and captain and a lot of other people tried to get the ship afloat but could not. It sank in the sand after a while. he engine and the irons can be seen today.
