  1. Weeds which grow profusely in this locality.
    There are a lot of weeds which grow profusely in the fields in this locality namely. - thistle, burr, rag weed or buachalán, nettle, dock, groundsel, robin run the hedge, wild parsnip, dandelion, chicken weed, meadow sweet, wild cotton, wild iris or "flagger" lily, king cups or marsh marigolds.
    The thistle is not a hard weed to get rid of. There is a rhyme which says -
    Cut in June and you cut too soon.
    Cut in July and they're sure to die. There are three kinds of thistles. There is a small thistle and the big thistle and the burr thistle. Burr thistles stick on to one. Asses eat thistles.
    The rag weed or buachalan grows about one foot high. It has a yellow flower on it.
    The nettle is a useful weed. People eat nettles when they are young. Children do not like nettles because they sting them. A rhyme says-
    "If you gently touch a nettle,
    It will sting you for your pains
    Grasp it like a lad of mettle
    And it soft as silk remains."
    The nettle is a hard weed to get rid of because it has a long trailing root which runs along piece under the ground.
    The dandelion is a useful weed. It is a very good thing to cure liver trouble. One would want
