   1. Once upon a time there was a very lazy family named Mc Andrews. They lived in Backs near Ballina. One day they were all sitting very near the fire, and they were very warm. They said they would give anymoney, but to get the fire, and gable moved out from them. A man came in, and said "I will move the fire, and gable out from ye if you give me five pounds. He told them to go out while he was moving the gable or the magic would not work. When they went out, he began saying magic words so that they would think he was moving the fire, and gable. When he was saying the magic words he pulled back the chairs. He told them he had the gable moved, and they could come in. When they came in they were delighted to see the fire, and gable moved out. They said it was worth five pounds. 2. One day soon after this the man, and his wife were going to Ballina. The man left before his wife, he told her to drag the door out after her when she would eb leaving. After a while he looked back to see was she coming. He saw her coming along dragging the door after her. He went back, and told her to come home, that he meant her to close the door.
