- This story was told to me by Dermot O Connor who heard it told by a man living in Tarbert called Jim Haloran. Once upon a time there was a man living in Tarbert and he was sitting crouched up in a corner drinking a cup of tea. As he was drinking the tea he died and stayed in the same position. They had to make the coffin in the same shape. There was a stout sergeant and sat on the man's knees and the man fell straight and they had to tie him up again to fit him in the coffin.
