  2. Some years ago there was a man by the name of Tom Sullivan living in Meen. He used to be out rambling very late at night. This night he was in Listowel, and it was late when he was coming home. He was passing over a bridge when he saw a person going under it. He thought it was somebody trying to frighten him. He looked under the bridge and saw nothing, he walked on and heard the walking behind him but could see nothing. He went into O Connor's which was not far from his house. They told him to stay there that night that something might happen to him on the road. He stayed and no sooner was he in bed than the doors were thrown open and the chairs thrown round the kitchen.
