  1. There are two Fairy forts in the district. Some people call them raths and more of them call them Lis and more them call them forts. They are situated in the townland of Drumarigna. There are fences of bushes around them and two big stones in the middle. They are in view of each other. There are two holes in the middle. A lot of music has been playing about these forts. The Fairies have some kind of a trade making shoes under mushrooms or a dock leaf.
    A story is told about a man who was very fond of playing cards. One night there was a raffle in a certain man's house and a goat was put up. This man won the goat and it was about 2 o'clock when he started home. On his way home he had to go through a fort. When he was passing the fort a little man with a red jacket came up to him and asked him where he was till this hour of the night and he said that he was at a raffle and that he won this goat. The Fairy asked the man to give him the goat in exchange for [?] pipes. the man said that he would not give
