at the wedding [?] - He thought it was someone else that was not invited to the wedding that came and stole all from him from that day till this they say "Whips of Cabbage + no bacon".
They used to call the wife Holly's Anne, because she was good for nothing. She was no good of a housekeeper either and yet you would have the old people say "You are a Rale Holly's Anne" to anyone that would have a slight of hand at the work as they say. They also say it to people who are clean, or good house-keepers. They had no family, and were a terrible looking pair. They were great for going to Mass, and was also great for going to the markets.
