    But then the fun came when poor Hoolys Anne went to help to leave in the dinner to the guests. They had plenty of cabbage but had no bacon. The cooks went to ask Artey where was the bacon, and the poor fellow did not know what to say. Of course some of the people thought that he had drink nor bacon at all only that he was pretending he had. When he was looking for the bacon the boys who stole it was there looking at him and there never as much as came a smile out of them.
