    An estate owner, lived at one time in the Castle near Roscommon Town.

    Farrell came down the back stairs and into the kitchen dressed as when he was alive. It stood with its back to the fire and gazed on the three men in bed, for a time, then went slowly upstairs.
    It repeated this three times; on the third occasion it took just one man, and then another, and threw them against the wall, and killed them.
    It took the third man gently and left him outside the door.
    He went to the clergy on the following day, and they accompanied him to the castle.
    To their surprise, the ghost appeared this time in the form of a goat, in a blaze of fire. - the goat had very long horns. It appeared on top of the castle and jumped down and disappeared.
