    If you plant garlic on Good Friday, there will be a cure in it.

    Cook a big supper, put it on the table - open the door. Call out is there anyone hungry outside to come in.
    St Martin.
    Kill a hen or something and spill the blood in the 4 corners of the house and the door-posts.
    St Martin will accept the offering before the 11th November but NOT after.
