    I died and I went towards heaven but saw repentance there too late,
    When suddenly I was ushered, before the Golden Gate.

    "Well, what will you have", said Peter, "Sure you know you can't get in.
    Surely you must suffer for that greedy glutton sin".
    I turned aside, and hung my head in shame,
    And Peter wrote "Lost" against my name.

    Here comes an old maiden around to have her say
    And she greeted old St. Peter with a fine + gracious air.
    "Goodness gracious me", she said "Peter dear,
    Why am I left, catching cold out here,

    Give me a first class pair of wings and a shield, and then
    I shall not be afraid of those naughty naughty men",
    "Oh no!" said St. Peter "no angel has grey hair,
    You have no sons or daughters so you would be a stranger here".

    Then came a poor Chinaman with a satchel in his hand "Gooda Fada Peta,
    I treata my neighba as my selfa, no begga, no robba, no steala,
    Never on the side walk have I thrown the orange-peela",
