  1. Proverbs are wise old sayings, which teach us useful little lessons. Every country has its own Proverbs.
Here are a few Proverbs, which are used in this district:-

A stitch in time saves nine
There is no wise man without a fault
    Hunger is good sauce
Keep the bone and the dog will follow
    A new broom sweeps clean
    Many hands make light work
A bird in your hand is worth two in the bush

Better be a coward for five minutes, than a corpse all your life

He who goes a borrowing goes a - sorrowing
Its a long road without a turn
An hour in the morning is worth two in the evening
Never sell your hen of a rainy day
He who laughs best laughs last
Prevention is better than a cure
    Better be sure than sorry

Early to bed early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.
