  1. I live in Tarmon district. The name of my townland is Moneenreave. There are six families living in Moneenreave. There are great many old disused houses in Tarmon district. There are about ninety families living Tarmon. There are not many old people living in my district. The most common name in Tarmon is Flynn. The people of long ago used to select very funny places for building their houses. Some of the people used to build their houses in an Alt, while others used to build them beside a hedge or on the top of the hill. The people of Tarmon suffered a lot on account of the famine.
