  1. In the townland of Drumnasoona there is an old fort. It is said that a chieftain lived in it long ago ans there were fairies haunting the place. There are a great many whitethorn bushes growing around the fort and it is said that if anyone cut the bushes he would die. The fort is like a big mound. There are no stones to be seen at it.
    There are a great many fort in Tarmon. I often passed the fort at night. There used to be fairies and lights seen at the fort.
