    Spinning:- In olden times people used to spin all their own wool and make their own clothes. Mrs. Mac Kinley was famous for her spinning. There is one of these old spinning wheels in my Grandmother's (Delia McGovern's)
    Thatching;_ Most people long ago used to thatch their own houses with rushes which they mowed in the fields. There were men who were very skilled in thatching and they used to get employment with other people to thatch their houses. Barney Ownes was reckoned to be a very nice thatcher in this district.
