   Butter is made once a week all the year round. The women in the house churn it. Strangers when they come in help us because a belief is held that they will bring away the butter if they do not take a brash and say "God bless the cows." It takes about an hour or three quarters of an hour to churn the milk. Churning is done by hand. The dash is moved up and down. When
