   As I lie down on my right side to sleep I give my soul to God to keep If any evil death or danger comes over me Mary, Mary waken me Heaven the branch, and Mary the flower And Jesus be with me in my dying hour. (said after lying down to sleep) As I get up this mornign day The Lord may keep me from going astray The Lord may keep me from sin and shame Wherever I go wherever I be My heart and soul I give to thee O Merciful Jesus have mercy on me (said on awakening) There is four corners on my bed There is four angels over my spread Matthew, Mark, Luke and John God bless the bed that I lie on (Said when lying down to sleep) As I like down my right had side to sleep I give my soul to Christ to keep Waken now or waken never I give my soul to Christ forever (This prayer is said in bed at night)
