  1. There was one time a master thief. There was a gentleman living beside the thief. So he told the master thief that he would have him hung tomorrow evening if he could not steal the horses out of the plough tomorrow morning. "Bad enough" said the thief but it was no trouble to him. Nect day arrived the thief went away and got a few rabbits. he went to the field where the man was working. When he came in sight of the ploughman he let the rabbits go, and they ran down by the man. Away goes the man after the rabbits down comes the thief and loosed out the horses out of the plough and brought them into the stable. "Very well" said the gentleman "Do you know what you will do for me" steal the sheet on which me and my lady be lying on tonight. "Worse again" said the thief But at the same time he could do it. He went to the graveyard and took up a corpse and brought it to the mans house, tied a rope on the neck and let him down the chimney, the man had the gun loaded and fired at the corpse "now" said the lady "you have him shoot, what will we do? "we will be disgraced" "ah" said the man "I will bring him away and bury him and there will be no more about him". When the thief got the man a distance from the house in he goes to the bed the
