Away down in old Glenfarne lives a jolly little man

Matthew Maguire of Bronagh composed the song which is as follows:
Away down in old Glenfarne lives a jolly little man
He's the boy can spin a yarn go and see him if you can
And if you want a reel or jig [velete or bon tong?]
Call in on any evening with poor old Matthew John
    II
For you he'll have a welcome and if you are "Sinn Fein"
And for a patriotic song you'll not go there in vain
Its a wonder he's not taken and two old scrubs[?] sent on
He's the devil singing "trason" rebellious Matthew John
