  1. About a mile and a half from Glencar School there is a big hole in the mountain known as Teampull.
In old times it is said that the priest would have to go up to that hole to say mass.
If the priest were got saying mass in those days he would be killed and then people thought that would be the best place for keeping away from danger.
Some people come from Sligo and other places to see the cave. About two years ago a bank Clerk and a man that was travelling for players Cigarettes came to see Teampull from Sligo with three sisters named Tighe.
When the sisters came to Teampull one of the girls refused to go into the cave.
The other girls told her to come in along with them.
Then she went in and they viewed a lot of places and things in the cave, and came out to go home.
When they came out of the cave they found out that they had forgotten a torch.
The girl that refused to go in at first went back into the cave with a man to search for the torch.
When they went in some distance the girl slipped off a stone. She feel fell into a deep hole and was killed.
