    Many marriages take place in Lissross before Lent and Advent each year. It is said that there are certain days unlucky for marriages, namely Friday and Saturday, because
    Monday for health,
    Tuesday for wealth,
    Wednesday the best day of all,
    Thursday for losses,
    Friday for crosses,
    Saturday no day at all.
    There is also a certain month thought unlucky for marriage namely May.
