    history as the Springfield Riots. All the leaders were arrested next day and got six months in Tullaghmore jail. The year after these tenants got their rents fixed by the ILC and in many cases they got one hundred and thirty per cent reduction. The other landlords of the parish were more just to their tenants than the Mac Dermots.
