  1. In the eighteenth century there were many very bad storms, but the most severe storm was the storm in 1839. It knocked the roofs off the houses, it knocked the walls and trees, it blew the animals that were in the fields around. It even rose some of them up in the air, and they fell down with a bump to the ground and were killed.
