   Every disease has its own cure. The bog onion is supposed to cure rheumatism. The garlic would cure as many and many others. To boil the root of a cowslip and drink the liquid for heart trouble. To boil the root of a dandelion for nerves. To boil batter-milk and oatmeal for a sore throat. Long ago they used to mix brown sugar with the house leek and make ointment form. There was a plant called a milk plant, and milk was got from it for curing warts. If milk was given to a ferrett and the remaining given to a child it would cure it. If a child had the whooping cough and walked under a white donkey stomach it would cure it. It is also believed to put the shape of a gold ring to wild fire for three mornings would cure it. To cure a burn they used to strain, and mix the lime water with sweet oil and this was
