   It is about forty years old.
   It is narrow on the middle and wide at the top and bottom. The lid fits in about nine inches from the top. There is a hole in the centre of the lid for the handle of the dash to come through.
   The joggler is a round prick of wood shaped like a saucer. There is a hole in the centre and it fits over the lid to keep the cream from coming up on the lid.
   The churn dash is moved up and down. When churning and when it is time to gather the butter it is given a rolling motion. When small grains of butter appear on the lid we know the cream is churned. The butter is then gathered into a hump by means of the dash being turned in the churn.
   The butter is made once a week in Winter and twice a week in Summer. It takes us about twenty minutes to do the churning. Cold water is poured in Summer and cold hot water in Winter. It helps to break the cream and to gather
